Standard flat washers cannot prevent loosening — that's why spring lock washers exist. JLHY's spring lock washers (also called split washers or helical spring washers) feature a radial slit and cupped shape that creates persistent axial spring force pressing against bearing surfaces. This spring force resists vibrational loosening by maintaining pressure on the thread flanks, making it much harder for vibration to unseat and rotate the fastener.

The split also creates tooth edges that bite slightly into the bearing surfaces, further preventing rotation. Produced from spring steel (65Mn or equivalent) heat-treated to HRC 42-50 for consistent spring rate and durability. Available in zinc-plated carbon steel for indoor applications and in stainless steel A2 for outdoor and marine environments.

These washers are an effective and low-cost addition to any standard bolted joint where vibration is a concern — not a substitute for proper locking nuts in high-vibration applications, but highly effective in moderate vibration environments.
